A study on viscosity B-coefficient of some mineral salts in binary aqueous solutions of urea at various temperatures

چکیده

Relati ve viscosities of some mineral salts viz; sodium sulphate, potassium sulphate, ammon ium sulpha te and magnes iu m sulphate, at di ffe rent concentrations have been determined in binary aqueous solutions of urea (mole-frac tions of urea, XII!""" = 0.0 10, 0.025 , 0. 040, 0.055 and 0.070) at 308. 15K and in XII!""" = 0.025 at di fferent temperatures. The data have been evaluated using l ones-Do le equ ation and the obtained parameters are interpreted in terms of ion-ion and ion-so lvent interac tio ns. The acti va tio n parameters of viscous fl ow have been o btained which depic ts the mechan ism of viscous fl ow. Ammoniu m sulphate and magnesium sul phate behave as structure breakers whereas sodiu m sulphate and potass ium sulphate act as structure makers/promoters in the present system.
